These original designs are cast in either bronze or sterling silver.  On all bronze pieces, a patina (oxide) is applied, which is then "pulled away" by being hand engraved, revealing the brilliance of the bronze.  Finally, a few coats of lacquer are applied to protect the integrity of the pieces.
